Thanks for looking into this. I will try edge HWE. I did try it week or
two ago but it was still at 5.8. I will need to let the 5.11 kernel run
for couple of days to be sure that it is properly fixed.

Installed the OS from scratch. Worked fine until i installed gnome
tweaks. As soon as i installed it (didnt even change any settings with
it) the issue came back.

You were correct! It was in fact dash to panel that was causing the
issue. Disabled all extensions and log out/in, lock the machine -> wakes
up without issue. Enable dash to panel, relog, lock -> cant wake up.

Yes, it appears to be the same bug. It's the FIF_EXR constant that's
wrong.
A temporary workaround is to do this:
FREE_IMAGE_FORMAT exrFormat = FreeImage_GetFIFFromFilename("dummy.exr");
Then using exrFormat in place of FIF_EXR make the problem disappear.

results in a file with zero bytes, while a corresponding HDR file is
written correctly. On 14.04 both images are written correctly. Here is a

The problem was in some xserver package that was broken. After removal
of that package, update goes smoothly. You can remove this.

Right click move to another workspace doesn't work

I'm using 13.04 upgraded from 12.10.
After a week of use I also run "sudo apt-get upgrade" which downloaded around
230Mb of updated software.
I'm also running that command with "sudo apt-get update" every day from then.
I have also set up my enviroment to have three workplaces in a row:

ksshaskpass hangs forever when run from keychain dur
Ok, sorry, turns out it is not pulse, al least it seems so. Rhytmbox and
Ytube work all right, it's when I open VLC it plays one video with
sound, and then next one, or anything other in the system wont play
sound at all. Tried to uninstall vlc pulse plug in but after restart
played only two videos
Tried also pulse --kill and then --start, no result.

I think my problem is the same. Started today after system updates.
Running 13.04 and when it boots up to desktop, the first sound I start
works. So Rhytmbox, VLC, or Ytube in Chromium, whichever I start first,
works, and there is sound. Then when I stop it, next thing I play wont
produce the sound
