13.10 still has graphviz at v2.26.3, which was released in 2010.
graphviz has an up to date PPA, but it's highest ubuntu version supported is
12.04.
trying to manually install it is a PITA, due to dependency issues.

queue up some video files (I first noticed this on some large (800MB) .mkv
files: 1080p, H264, 24fps, AAC audio)
bring up the system monitor, and watch the memory usage for totem go up and up
as the video plays.
at the end of the first video, memory usage is around 600-900MB
I have the same bug, although my symptoms are slightly different than

If you put an icon on the desktop (In Gnome Fallback mode) you can right click
and select "resize icon".
This works fine.
However, once you again click on the now-resized icon, the text that
says "Restore Icon's Original Size" is not selectable.

RAM, and i have backups disabled! (i forget how much CPU it uses, but

I dont know where the problem is, but i see it often.
I am using dual monitors.
Using Gnome fallback (classical mode)
Compiz is enabled and the special effects like wobbly windows are enabled.
I notice the following problem in multiple programs, but most often in
the two i u

actually able to read it for a couple of seconds before it crashed
though.
I think i might uninstall notifications... i've always hated them

Same issue. I just downloaded a file in chromium, when i saw the
notification thing flash in the corner, then the error report program
came up.
I think the message was going to be the one where it says its uploading
the file to Ubuntu One.

i finally was able to get a GUI login screen after i logged in via
ALT+F2.
i installed lightdm and gdm.
i set lightdm to be used ("dpkg-reconfigure lightdm")
i typed in "sudo lightdm"
it didnt work. no error message - just brought me back to the original
boot-text screen
