[Bug 339891] Re: [Jaunty] wireless rt2860 not connecting to WPA

2009-06-19 Thread Les Moss
I am not up to recompiling drivers, so I updated to the 2.6.28-13 kernal to see if that solved the problem. It did not. But, I changed the access point configuration from Cypher TKIP/AES to TKIP only and that solved the problem for me. This works on two access ponts with different hardware

[Bug 326311] [NEW] Add libsqlite3-0 to fully support libnss3-1d

2009-02-06 Thread Michael Moss
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ia32-libs libnss3-1d was added to ia32-libs in version 2.2ubuntu12, but this depends on libsqlite3-0 which was not added (see also the dependencies of the full libnss3-1d package). This causes some 32-bit apps running on 64-bit Intrepid to fail when

[Bug 219349] Re: Hardy wait so much on Activating swapfile swap... on Wubi installation

2008-11-05 Thread Carl Moss
Same for me as thomsit, except I originally had to wait 20 minutes for the swapfile to activate. I cleared some space on the disk and re-installed Intrepid via wubi from the CD. There's still a delay - now seconds rather than minutes - activating the swapfile. dmesg doesn't show any errors. The

I have a VAIO SZ330P laptop running 2.6.27 (as part of Kubuntu 8.10 beta) and have the same problem with the memory stick as getaceres. Sebastian Wehrmann (http://www.sw83.de) has a patch of the tifm_* drivers that makes the memory stick work with 2.6.19, but it won't patch with 2.6.27. It looks

[Bug 220377] Re: firefox 32bits cannot navigate on remote web pages

2008-07-16 Thread Michael Moss
I ran into this same problem with Picasa for Linux. That package has a dependency on ia32-libs, and worked properly with previous 64-bit Ubuntu releases, but creating lib32nss-mdns without adding it as a dependency to ia32-libs has broken Picasa on Hardy. I don't understand the objection to
