Here to confirm issue (only seen with VLC) as well. Writes to ~/.xsession-errors until disk is full, which on this NVMe SSD takes seconds.
Occurs without user switching. Not seeing it in syslog as some people are reporting - for those users, did you disable xsession-errors somewhere? Had to work around disk space issue by adding link to /dev/null on each log in, similar to https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?p=1559886&sid=61ae05bb0f18ec819664dde96f6fd7e6#p1559886 When this occurs, VLC process still takes 100% CPU and must be restarted, but at least disk isn't full. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1846374 Title: Having a video playing/paused when switched to another user generates gigabytes of error logs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-418/+bug/1846374/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
