FWIW I just switched to 17.0b3 and it's working fine for me. I already
repaired all my folders when I moved to the 19 nightly to test the fix.

I got this version from the URL above: 19.0a1 (2012-11-10), and so far
so good. :) It certainly doesn't seem to be doing any harm, and over a
few hours last night, and so far this morning I haven't seen a repeat of
the repetitive downloading. I have now visited every folder on the
problema
Sorry for a silly question, but where can I download a version of tbird
that includes this bug fix? I need both Linux and Windows.
