I can confirm this is still not working in 12.10 (Unity).
sudo apt-get install nautilus-wallpaper
nautilus -q
No entry in context menu.
Because other nautilus-* extensions work as expected, perhaps this one
should be removed from the repositories or fixed.

Had this problem with latest Natty as of 24 May. Chromium was unable to
set itself as the preferred browser. Using Preferred Applications did
not seem to work initially, I suspect this is because Chromium was open
at the time. At some point I closed Chromium, set the option in

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: wally
Running Natty Alpha 3 updated to 22 Mar 2011. Installed Wally 2.3.2
through the USC. An entry for Wally does not appear anywhere in the
Application Menu even after a reboot.
The wally application can be run from the terminal.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: wally
Wally is up to version 2.4.1
Changelog: http://www.becrux.com/pages/projects/wally/ChangeLog-2.4.1
It has already been packaged as a kde4 deb by the author.
Downloads: http://www.becrux.com/index.php?page=projectsname=wally
** Affects: wally
By using the Software Centre to install the Wally 2.4.1 .deb download, I
can confirm that it fixes bug #739938 - it creates a launcher entry
under Application Menu/Accessories/Wally.
This is a significant useability improvement over the Wally 2.3.2
currently in the repositories.

I have the same problem, which I noted in bug #203016. But it doesn't
look like that bug is visible any more, probably because it's been
flagged as resolved on a previous release.
