I had the same issue and solved this by adding: /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled mr, to my skype AppArmor profile. If ever unsure about other permissions, issue grep -i denied /var/log/kernel.log as per the instructions on AppArmor's wiki. e.g. adding /user/share/themes/** r, allowed
