installing ndiswrapper does not provide automatic dependency install for
ndiswrapper-dkms nor the linux headers to compile and load the module
adequately. i had to manually install and load those to the get an error
on build as follows:

warned about this behavior (ex: tiheum).
Personally, using Faenza (without reinstalling the mono theme), on UGR
12.10, I was able to link scalables back to the required file names like

I would also like to add that it has been like this for a real long time
on ubuntu for some reason.
I have tested Fedora 15 just now and selecting those options within gcc
make it work straight out of the box.
In my case (HPg60 468CA), i have a fix at startup to emulate and enable
such a feature
no change here on end-user side... did the fix make it to the distro
yet?

In terms of visual consistency , I must agree and even add to the fact

The point of having OPEN standards and enabling platform interaction is
to permit normalization and "easy" modification of a given preference by
the user if the default set of looks
I second the "hide the icon" on single workspace.
On another hand, changing the icon to an "expose" related graphical
solution for that icon could replace the workspace switcher if preferred
by a user.
I personally use screen corner triggers (a la mac) to expose or switch
desks...
