It's what is not included that is the problem. The release team have
not updated the 'restricted-modules-2.6.22' package to 2.6.22-13.

Just started happening in the last day or so. Before that compiz has
behaved OK.

That is because you are serialising the displays. The reason the mouse
doesn't work is because of parallel contention between the display.
Your workaround stops the contention from happening.
All of it points to a fault in the driver.

The whole system seems to struggle if you change the security settings
(in my case from WPA to WPA2). I get a time out in the logs, but
retrying simply goes through the procedure all over again. I'm no
longer asked for a new protocol/password.

Err, that's what the debdiff does.
the libgems-ruby package is the source package which builds the libgems-
ruby1.8 and rubygems binary packages. If you look in 'rubygems.install'
you'll see the bash completion sat there next to the good old gem
command.

There is no oops. Just a bunch of seg faults reported in the kernel log.
The dmesg log for that has already been attached.
The console merely shows three/four 'Segmentation Fault' messages, and I

Network manager is failing to associate with wireless network on boot
up.
One wireless has failed to associate, and message is logged in

Confirm with IPW3945 on Lenovo N100 0768 with Gutsy Tribe 4. The driver
is not associating at all with the AP, although it can clearly detect
the SSID.
I get a timeout if the network is open and a 'not ready' if the network

I appreciate the irritation, but the nature of distributions is that
they are always a little behind the times. The changes to 1.8.6 are
unlikely to be sufficient to require an update to a stable release like
Feisty.

Upgraded to the new Feisty Unichrome driver to see if the Chrome 9 IGP
on my motherboard is supported.
It doesn't seem to be with the version of the code in this driver.
Xorg.log reports.

I have a K8M890 based motherboard and Feisty is not picking up the
integrated onboard graphics (Via Chrome9), but defaulting back to the
VESA driver for X.
It should be supported by the OpenChrome driver.

Via Chrome device wasn't being picked up in Feisty Beta - and still

Wonder whether this bug sequence is a duplicate of 68901?
When I use the 'unichrome' Driver I get a failed X server. From Xorg.log
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//unichrome_drv.so
(EE) LoadModule: Module unichrome does not have a unichromeModuleData data
object.

Yep. That's what I did. No go. Still the same problem occurring as
