Hi, I have a HP dv2-1123ax and when left-clicking on the Gnome Power
Applet it states that "Laptop Battery (estimating...)" and does not give
me a time remaining for battery life. However I can find the percentage
remaining easily by looking in /proc/acpi.

xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.10.99.0-1ubuntu1 seems to have fixed this
bug. I can't reproduce this issue anymore, switching it EXA seems to
have fixed it. Thanks!

It seems to be when you select and drag text out of the window. For
instance clicking, highlighting and then dragging some text out of the
window causes pidgin to crash. For me this happened in the #ubuntu IRC
room but not on the #ubuntu Chanserv. I can provide a video if that
would make it easier

I also have noticed this with some laptops I have installed on. However
the image is more of a "ghostly" type image and the computer dosnt boot
up properly. Usually the alternate cd is the best way to get around this
bug. I have also found this bug with Debian, it seems to happen with
only ati mobi
