I might have the answer: In my latitude E6400 the "fn f8" key is mapped to
"super p" because in windows 7 it brings up the display switch dialog.
In ubuntu it does not bring up anything, but if you want you can map it to
gnome-display-properties in the keybinding app.

I personally find that it is unpleasant to see that a selected treeview item
looks too much like the header.
In the attached file you will see a radiance vs human of it.
I'd like to have the selected items with a different color.
