enumerated list of disk change and on reboot the zfs doesn't automount
anymore and complains on missing device when trying to manually mount
it.
The pool was created with:

misleading.

Specifically, I've 2 bridge defined (br0 and br1) and only br0 shows up in the
selectable menu or in the listing. On 16.04, all bridges show up.

I suspect a HW bug. Kernel 4.13.0-37-generic shows 32 GiB and kernel
4.16.0-041600rc7-generic both report 32 GiB. But on another box with the
very same HW I got 64 GiB with all kernels.

For me the phone hang if and when I turn the hotspot off. It doesn't
hang immediately, but in the minutes that follow. It's pretty reliable.
OTOH, if I switch to plane mode, and then back to normal mode, the
hotspot is turned off an my phone doesn't hang. That's also pretty
reliable.

before the bios upgrade. After it, it wasn't working anymore on 14.04

remember that 14.04.4 failed *after* the bios upgrade.

I burned the iso from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current
/xenial-desktop-amd64.iso downloaded yesterday. The image was from the
8th of April.
The boot gives a black screen as usual now that stay till the DVD become
quiet.
When editing the grub line and removing the "quiet splash" argume
I've some new info. I installed 15.10 in server mode, installed lubuntu-desktop
and ubuntu-desktop and started X without problem.
startx unity or startx both works.
But nor lightdm nor gdm start. lightdm crash and gdm gives a black
screen.

I just tried with 12.04 and I also get a black screen. So I got a black
screen with 12.04, 14.04, 14.10 and 15.10 - Desktop install DVD.
FWIW, to upgrade the bios I had to install OS X 11 (El Capitan), that worked
flawlessly.

I had the occasion to try again with 15.04, 15.10 and 16.04 (downloaded

I solved it for my case by reducing the "shutdown_lifetime" to 1 seconds in
"/etc/squid/squid.conf" and modifying the
script in "/etc/resolvconf/update-libc.d/squid" to replace
restart squid

Which defeat the "restart" intended behavior but doesn't need to wait

OK, I found the problem and it's indeed a /etc/udev/rules.d/70
-persistent-net.rules problem. The OS is on a USB key that I plug into
various computers. By default udev records the mac address and doesn't
notice that the computer changed. The result defeats the purpose of

Yes I tried with karmic and it's still an issue. I had a look to the
upstream bug tracker but didn't

It occurs to me that it's more probably related to the motherboard which
is an Asus M3A3200. The realtek interface shows up as eth2 when I
connect another ethernet interface, otherwise it shows up as eth1 but
never as eth0.
