I'm also having this problem -- some sort of indication would have been
nice. Is there a way of downgrading the xserver to make the driver
compatible? I'm assuming that otherwise we'll have to wait for nvidia to
release appropriate drivers.

Thanks Tommy, that works really well. I had changed my
/etc/modprobe.conf to the same effect.
The trouble with pb_fnmode=0 is that the fn key doesn't modify the F*
keys at all now -- they remain F* keys.
This is nevertheless a great improvement. Why isn't this a default
setting?

control, decorate the window and shrink it, whereas running at a lower
