reboot my IDE flash drive was not recognized. It is my /boot (and MBR),

I have an odd twist on this. For me, it seems like there are two
settings.
If I set the delay to minimum, and the speed to max, I get the following
behavior:
Immediately repeat is very fast, until the default (unconfigurable) delay time
expires, at which point the repeat rate slows down again.
I've attached a workaround I whipped up when I got bit by this.
untar, and run "make" in the "fixvmxe" directory. Then run "./go.sh".
If you have an AMD CPU, you'll have to edit go.sh to change references
to "kvm_intel" to "kvm_amd".

ne more quick question. I cannot mount my CD player. The mesage says I
don't have the privelages. In my last installation this was no problem.
Do I need to add a program or do some configuration???

Just a note for people who find this by search:
In Hardy, I've found that you must now kill/delete hald-addon-pmu instead of
gnome-power-manager.
Combined with BenH's /etc/power scripts, suspend/resume by closing the
lib now appears to work reliably.

reboot my IDE flash drive was not recognized. It is my /boot (and MBR),
so fortunately the BIOS (and thus grub) had no problems reading it, but

Install is 64bit 2 socket 2 core SMP, using default 2.6.24-16-generic
kernel.
Board is a Tyan K8WE, which has a nvidia CK804 (nforce2) chipset.

I see this as well in firefox and evolution. Feisty on x86-64. WM is
sawfish, no gnome.

Here is what I got: need fix
A unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.
Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include
the following error message:
'W:Encountered status field in a non-version description, E:Encountered
a section with n
This went away in Gutsy I believe. Perhaps Hardy. Either way, it's
long gone now.

I have an odd twist on this. For me, it seems like there are two
settings.
If I set the delay to minimum, and the speed to max, I get the following
behavior:
Immediately repeat is very fast, until the default (unconfigurable) delay time
expires, at which point the repeat rate slows down again.
