Ok, I just upgraded to ia32-libs-gtk version 16.2 and undid my hack. However, the problem is _not_ solved: I still get the same errors on startup and the fonts in the Open dialog are still mangled. Error messages also shows it's still trying to load modules from /usr/lib/pango instead of /usr/lib3
