I get this on a new Thinkpad X120e, which has the same chipset as the
original reporter.
I'm not sure how this driver relates to the kernel, however I can
confirm that I get this crash both using the 2.6.38-5 kernel in Natty
and the vanilla mainline 2.6.38 (dated #201103060905) from the mainline
As it turns out the graphics are totally frozen but I can ssh to it!

Why not just stop at zero instead of starting over?
People will arrange things on their launcher based on how it's important
it is to them and they get 10 shortcuts. After that unless it's a large
screen the icons get accordioned out of the way anyway.

iirc when we did the compiz settings review we enabled this feature
because the idea was to allow people to move and resize windows while
being able to slightly see through them to be able to see content in
other windows while making a move.

Any known workaround for 10.04? This is so annoying. I have P35-DS4 with
two HDD in RAID1, with ALL important data on it. Forunately, Windows 7
is installed on separate physical SSD disk, but previously many system
files (TEMP, hiberfile, pagefile) were on RAID. It caused numerous
surprising
