The best way to indicate to the user that the SIM card(s) are locked is to
bring up the unlock screen again once the dialer, messaging or any other apps
requiring a SIM are launched.
The lock screen visual can be contextual for every app and user will be able to
unlock the SIM(s) directly,
As previously discussed, a long press is always triggering a contextual
menu and it shouldn't be different in this use case. For further
releases we can implement more actions into the menu, e.g. copy,
forward, etc..

I agree with Mathew and Tony, it seems to be that Android is not too concerned
with the use of the word PIN.
Passcode is very iOS like and I would simply recommend to change in the SYSTEM
SETTINGS as well as on the lock screen to Enter device PIN, as mentioned by
Thomas.

I believe we can address this issue in a better way post RTM. This would imply
a swipe gesture to answer the call and this would again need a full screen view
