Got the same type of error but it seems it's not limited to update manager.

man page and --help gives long option as --first-page=NUMBER.

The way I see it :
- old style ide driver is not anymore compiled in the kernels part of the
distribution
- new style driver is not compiled either and even if compiled is not really
working.
I've no time to try to debug this situation and as far as I see it,
you're good to recompile your own

I've rebuild a kernel package 2.6.27 with CONFIG_PATA_HPT3X2N=m set.
Controller is well detected but PC freeze when checking disk drive at startup
I've rebuild another one with CONFIG_BLK_DEV_HPT366=m and everything
seems to work ok.

If I'm not mistaken, none of these clients are working on Windows.
Working in a mixed environment, the host is a headless linux server and

It seems that the openldap2.3-dev package is not built (also in Debian).
Comments in the rules file says :

I suspect a small error in it.
