We were seeing this on the second launch of any app that has single
instance specified in the desktop file. The theory is systemd is
confused about it successfully exiting.

got windows) and the previous change to the show launcher setting got

Everything seems normal to me, that is the same as a working device.
I noticed you had played a game, last suggestion is to run the game again and
set the volume there. In the past there had been issues where the volume
remained muted playing media if sound effects were muted during a game,
Can you attach your /var/log/syslog from the time and
.cache/upstart/media-hub.log
Unfortunately it seems that the speakers are muted at a lower level, or perhaps
that the device thinks headphones are enabled.
One other thing is to ensure it does not think its paired with a bluetooth
audio
The bluez snap is based on the same code, but many of these issues are
device specific and difficult to resolve without those specific
environments. I believe the maintainer is still working on these
connection issues in general.

@laney I tested per my original report, and the delays are gone when
d-u-s is installed. Otherwise things I tried work with and without dbus-
user-session.
I am unclear on the symptoms in the rest of your description. I never
recall seeing global menus for terminal app.
