The version of digitemp_DS2490 in Trusty and later (and possibly
previous versions, though it has worked for us before) does not detect
temperature sensors connected to the One-wire network. For reference,

Additional data point: this problem seems to be restricted to selection
- holding down (for example) a letter key, the display always updates
and I see each character appear one by one; when selecting this doesn't
happen and I only see the new selection when I release the arrow key.
