When the computer initializes, in some step, characters disappear from
console. I have no characters shown. I only see the cursor moving as if
it printed things on the screen.

I'm using Ubuntu 8.04, and It doesn't work either. In past versions the
system didn't respond at all after resuming from pause. Now, I got the X
working and the mouse too, but still don't have any response from
keyboard. The only way to make things work again is rebooting with the
mouse from GD
