xserver-xorg-input-evdev added 05-evdev.conf to
/usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d, but this file results in xserver-xorg-input-
tslib can not work in lucid system.The issue can be fixed by modifying
05-evdev.conf.

in your
system, I think you have modified something during your building package
steps and also you can try to new this directory and move gnome-
brightness-applet here, but this is only a test.

I didn't meet this problem and did you change the install files or
rules in debian directory? Maybe you can move gnome-brightness-applet to
/usr/lib/gnome-power-manager/, this is the right place of this applet.

1. click right mouse and select 'Add to Panel'.
2. select 'Brightness Applet'.
3. click the icon of 'Brightness Applet' and you will see a slide bar.
4. click the slide bar to change the backlight, but the slide bar disappear.
