I am getting the same error. I set it up using unetbootin-linux-471
from a Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop x86 install.

I noticed the problem has returned. I double checked and the options
snd-hda-intel model=olpc-xo-1_5 line is still in my /etc/modprobe.d
/alsa-base.conf file but when I un-muted my sound it came out the
speakers only again whether or not the headphones were plugged in.

This worked for me too on an AMD based Thinkpad Edge running ubuntu
10.04 x64. I didn't have a modprobe.conf and alsa-base.conf was in
/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

I believe this is affecting me too. When the screen saver comes on and
has been on for a while (overnight in this case) mouse movements and
keyboard do not bring up unlock screen. I do see mouse move on screen.
I was able to SSH in and killall gnome-screensaver and then I could get
back in.
98-99% of CPU is what I meant. Also I am running 10.04 x64 on a
ThinkPad T60 w/4 gig of ram but only 3 is showing.

I am also having this problem in lucid. Also while ALSA plug-in
[firefox-bin] works out speakers skype has no sound at all. Plugging in
headphones has no effect.

is there another bug we can follow to see if/when this is fixed? Saying
it has been reported w/o referencing the existing bug doesn't help much.
I am new to launchpad so maybe I am just missing it...
