i think i have the same problem with feisty and an hp laptop working with 64bits. to boot i need noapic and noirqdebug and even so, i can only boot 50% of the times. this is a bit frustrating. with 32bits it worked fine. with edgy i also add problems and needed noapic to boot even on 32bits.
