the USA keyboard instead of the Portuguese keyboard.

i think i have the same problem with feisty and an hp laptop working with
64bits.
to boot i need noapic and noirqdebug and even so, i can only boot 50% of the
times.
this is a bit frustrating. with 32bits it worked fine. with edgy i also add
problems and needed noapic to boot even on 32bits.

no output. but i also changed to the nvidia drivers from nvidia and got
a much better performance. i also think that compiz 0.50 does not have
this problems (at least i haven't noticed any in edgy with compiz 0.5)

i also have this problem with a wireless card (Broadcom) and
ndiswrapper. after a few minutes of perfect work the card just stops
working with a console message of disabling irq #xxx (the irq number
changes). I am working with edgy x86 but i got the same problem with
amd64.

when i start the screensaver i get a sudden logout to gdm.
if i put in gconf the screensaver key to null i can open the gnome-screensaver
config tool.
if i choose one screensaver in the config tool then the system crashes again.
i had to disable the screensaver
