CRIU since version 1.2 requires this thing to work with containers. The
field itself appeared in 3.15 with the patch below [1]. Please, consider
including the patch for better CRIU support.

I've noticed that in Debian crtools is already renamed into criu and already
contains the latest version (1.3-rc1 for now)

Is there anything I can do to help updating crtools/criu package in
Ubuntu?
