Booting the Lucid Live CD gives a black screen when it tries to launch X.
Adding "i915.nomodeset=0" gives the same results.
I was able to boot in low graphics mode using "i915.nomodeset=0 xforcevesa".
I then installed Lucid
I can say this is fixed for me in Karmic.
I now have tty console's as I was supposed to have in the first place :)

The fix is disable kernel mode setting... Put "nomodeset" in the kernel boot
options in grub config file.
Or compile your own kernel and patch it, witch I'll do when I've time...

I've installed karmic beta yesterday, and now I can boot to the desktop.
With alpha 6 the only thing I could see was a black screen where nothing
could be done, even the caps locks key failed to work.

I'm also having this issue, and it happens very frequently.
I using WPA1 and TKIP.
On attachment goes the debug log for a session where the issue happens
at 13:28.

I can confirm this bug is not rhythmbox specific.
I experience the same bug with exaile, though not so often.
As far as I understand it, this is a firefox/compiz issue, the same high
cpu scrolling issue that haunts firefox in linux for months.
I managed to solve the "slow scrolling issue" in big

I own a Clevo M860TU with a nVidia 9800 GT and I get no /proc/acpi/video
(empty directory) in Intrepid. As a result my display cannot respond to
state changes nor brightness hotkeys, this is particularly upsettings
since I can't get any console terminals (outside X).

Same here, using intel ipw2915, on hardy it worked perfectly.
Network manager refuses to connect to WPA Enterprise with TKIP and PEAP.

On, my laptop with gutsy, I can't get the card working... The led light
