I installed 8.04 LTS today on lenovo 3000 n200 laptop. It's a great desktop linux. most things work. Except.... no sound as many others have reported. The output from the alsa information scrip is here:- http://pastebin.ca/997235
I have tried many of the remedies mentioned in other comments but none have worked.
