zmzach, I've just got "noapic clocksource=hpet" appended to the other options. Unless my memory fails me nolapic would mess up things badly. Also, I am using a 64-bit version of ubuntu on a 64-bit processor, if you have got a 32-bit ubuntu and/or a 32-bit processor this bug may not apply to you. M
