So normally Lightning compares attendees and organizer with the email

Mark, these commits are (unless I did something wrong), just to fix the
problem for the 2.6, 2.6.1, 2.6.2, 2.6.3 releases, which were affected
by bug 927073.
I don't really think anyone is going to build these versions, but if
they do pull from hg using a tag from one of the affected builds, i.e.

Ok, this was far more annoying than I thought. I spent way too much time
writing a script to do the maxversion changes in batch and the manual
steps also took ages.

Indeed, there is bug 164495 for calendar. What you want to fix first is
bug 333938 though. This will allow Lightning/Thunderbird to access the
locale info. I'm not sure the first day of the week is available on all
platforms, but from skimming that bug it seems windows has an API call
for it and
Total freeze doesn't sound like this bug. Could you try with a new
profile? Please don't post results on this bug though, either email me
or use the blog comments.

I've fixed this by changing the versions via the UI on AMO. I hope this
actually works. I've tested on mac and got the right updates, but I've
read a comment that it doesn't work too.

No, I didn't change anything in the releases dir, nor did I retag the
builds. I guess we can do that in this bug. I cannot change the xpi on
AMO itself, the min/maxversion is just a UI / updates change.
I've changed min and maxversion to the same respective value for 2.6 -
2.6.2.

Sounds like a good idea. We could also make this platform dependent and
only run the timer on Linux, or better yet turn around the condition and
check if the os is not osx or windows.

I think after over 150 comments its time for a new bug. We're not saying
this issues doesn't exist, but rather that it would be better to post a
new bug so its easier to overview whats going wrong after the previous

Yes, I will likely grant review here. The only issue here is that we are
relying on an interface provided by Thunderbird. There are two cases
where this might be bad:

Ok, given the amount of comments here I think it will be easier if we

Ok, back to serious now. I want this bug fixed as much as you do, but
the aforementioned calendar-standards problem is really the showstopper
here. I have recurring tasks to, and some tasks I have not entered in my

Given we

getting the list of calendars as a json or xml object.
