This is related but not a duplicate!
- I get this windows every couple of seconds - even if I don't press any
key.
- I don't have fglrx installed - I use standard x driver.

I searched dmesg, /var/log/syslog, X-Server log but could not find any
new logentry that could give more information.
What can I do to bring more information?

I tried Xubuntu 14.04 Live USB Stick on my Dell Vostro 3550.
Every view seconds, a Display configure screen settings and layout
window pops up and wants to configure my screen layout.
sometimes 2 windows pop up at the same time, sometimes, 4 or even more.
