It takes a samba-server and an ubuntu client, that has a bookmark pointing to
smb://yourserver/

You missed the point, the samba server does not need to be a local
installation, it isn't in my case either. And to access a remote folder
might not be the first thing you do as a average private user, but as an
average business user you do. And remote folder access support is a
default install

The problem is not that notify-osd won't cater to someone's preferences
or old settings or whatever,the problem was with the initial response of
MPT(status: bug-invalid,wontfix) and the problems faced by those with
poor peripheral vision(MBT).MPT amended himself(after a

I suggest that the Send To should also allow sending files to the common
folders like Documents,Pictures,Music etc,namely the folders already
bookmarked in the Places menu.

Yahoo just won't allow me to get in. I am no computer expert and Pidgin
is just upsetting me. I have been forced to use internet web browser

Click on any of the main file toolbar menus.
Move the mouse down to any of the entries with an arrow next to it for the
secondary menu.
Instead of bringing up the new menu kompozer crashes with a segmentation fault.

I noticed that the my.cnd points the tmpdir to /tmp, which IMHO might be
fatal.
From the MySQL site:
If the MySQL server is acting as a replication slave, you should not set
--tmpdir to point to a directory on a memory-based file system or to a
directory that is cleared
Beginning with jaunty, I offer my moblock, mobloquer, blockcontrol and
nfblock packages in my ppa here at launchpad (instead of moblock-
deb.sourceforge.net, where other dists get their packages).
