Yes, I tried it again on Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64 when it was completed. I
have not tested Ubuntu 9.04 yet. Again, this is only on x86_64 systems
for me.

Enabling vsync with aticonfig does nothing, enabling vsync with compiz

I think I found a fix!
I took the file /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/jockey/oslib.py from my
other installation (hardy-upgraded Gutsy) and replaced the one on my
64-bit hardy, restarted jockey and installed ok.
Only problem was that when I logged in the taskbar icon reported a
jockey error. D

I'm having the exact same problem as you. I'm currently running 800x600
because jockey did not automatically prompt or install the restricted
drivers.

With a clean install of Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 64 bit with an ATI
radeon 1150, I receive flickering while rotating the compiz cube.
I have all the dependent compiz packages installed.
I have found that this does not occur when the neat 3d-window
I get this same error when trying to connect a microsoft mouse and
keyboard... however the microsoft mouse worked before I tried to connect
the keyboard. Now both do not work and will not connect.
