I currently have 36 days of uptime on my laptop (using suspend a lot)
and over time, I've noticed that the upowerd process got to the top of
the list in terms of memory usage by claiming 1GB+. I can manage with
this situation since I have 6GB of ph
I have been suspending with the workaround script every day and have an
8 day uptime so far. The only problem I noticed is that dmesg doesn't
doesn't show new messages anymore. Instead, they show up in VT1.

I've never experienced tpm problems because it has always been disabled
for me in the BIOS (T500). However, only since I started to use the
script in comment #43 (and #35) that I was able to suspend successfully
twice in a row. I'm using 2.6.35-27-generic.

On my T500, disabling tpm and updating to 2.6.35-25-generic only helped
by making suspend fail less often. Instead of failing every time, it now
suspends well for a few times first, but eventually an attempt to
suspend leaves me with a black screen, a constantly blinking moon light,
and an unrespon
Installing linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic (2.6.31.15.28) (I
already had pavumeter installed in UNR) did not enable the internal
microphone for me on ASUS 1005HA.
