Bug 336193 - P2: Use a second SIGTERM in killPid() to ensure parent process is
killed.
killPid() needs to do more than send a single SIGTERM to the parent
process now that it only triggers graceful shutdown, sending a second
SIGTERM terminates it forcefully like before.

Here's a revised version of the SignalPipeWatcher patch.
* SIGTERM/SIGINT/SIGHUP all do a graceful exit. I tested Chromium, VLC
and GIMP using strace with these signals and they all exit normally
returning exit codes and not signals.

settings. You can change the transparency setting from the terminal

I've had the same problem on two computers since upgrading from 16.04 to
16.10, in both cases killing dnsmasq after the first suspend fixes it

network manager wakes prematurely before suspending causing it not to
wake when resuming. I experienced this on lubuntu 15.04 but could not
replicate it on Ubuntu 15.04. I isolated the problem down to xfce4
-power-manager which is r
I isolated the problem down to an incompatibility between xfce4-power-
manager and systemd. When the suspend timeout is reached or the lid is
closed, the network manager is being woken before the system has
suspended which causes it not to wake on resume.
Switching from systemd back to Upstart fix
I get this same dbus error but it does not prevent wifi from
successfully reconnecting after sleep when testing with "systemctl
suspend".

The root cause is the use of transparency in the Lubuntu-default theme.
Can be fixed by editing:
/usr/share/themes/Lubuntu-default /gtk-3.0/gtk-widgets-toolbar.css

Deleting the file altogether also seems to work with no apparent
problems.
