Not sure if it helps to debug this bug but I had same issue with Debian
Squeeze where two buttons reseted xset settings: Fn+Down and Fn+Up (lcd
brightness). I solved it by disabling HAL in debian, however as far as I
know Ubuntu 10.04 should not use HAL any more.

Just let you know that I also miss the multifunction feature of Ctrl-C.
Currently to overcome this I compiled older gnome-terminal 2.23.91 to
keep the behavior.

bug for people, it seriously affected my usage of 10.04 because constant
internet drop. As you can see other people ready to even move back to
older kernel because of this. However currently after adding
radeon.modeset=0 it's ok
@Eric: Thanks, just let you know that after booting with kcmdline
pciehp.pciehp_force=0 and then modprobe acpiphp the hotswap works with
card: Silicon Image Sil3132 ExpressCard.

I just got Microsoft 5000 mouse working with restart/resume. I have

I have got same mails about this bug, first of all my hack is real hack
and not good for most people, but I'll be workaround for those who has
no other alternative (take one day off at least to hack it).

Thanks for reply, Bryce.
I have been using my 'hack' version of symbols file at the moment and it
works great but it's more workaround than fix.
However it's still a bug that second keyboard modifier is not honored by
default (shift mode is honored starting from second keypress from main
keyboard
I have hacked version (at least it works with two keyboards and
modifiers are working again). However, it's a big mess what I had to
create in order to make it work.
Any hints would be welcome!

I have got quite same problem after start using Icepodder (what opens
many torrent connections).
@Westley Stessens: I suspect it is vice versa, I have ati x1400 and it
hangs for some seconds when pc getting ipw3945 Microcode SW errors.
However those hangs goes away when I turn wireless off.
