Public bug reported:
I have started to play with Prometheus on my Ubuntu 20.04.3. You can
configure Prometheus to alert you when a systemd service fails, and in
this way I noticed a problem with the logrotate.service immediately
after booting the system.
I looked with Cockpit, and Cockpit was rep

I am trying to write a script to automatically update my Ubuntu system

So I need to find out which apt options, or whatever, I need t

Thanks for the hint. I'll try it the next time around.
It looks like xrdp is failing out of the box across many distributions,

Why did you close this bug? Did you read the text above, or just the
last paragraph? Remote desktop does not work.
Or did I choose the wrong place for this bug about Ubuntu MATE? Is
remote desktop working properly with the main Ubuntu?

Well, I happen to have an Ubuntu MATE 20.04 virtual machine for testing
purposes.
The deja-dup package was installed, probably by default, but there is no
sign of any deja-dup-monitor process.
So you are probably right.
I would close this bug report, but I cannot find a way to do that.

This problem happens with both the standard GNU Make 4.1 that comes with
Ubuntu 16.04.5, and with a self-compiled GNU Make 4.2.1.
The error only happens if make is writing to stdout. If you redirect to
a file like this:
make ... blah... blah... 2>&1 >"$HOME/Build.log"
Then it runs fine.
