Confirmed with both suspend and hibernate on Ubuntu 9.10 on a HP Pavilion dv5029US. It seems to suspend successfully, but on booting it stays on a black screen (no back-light) and seems to be stuck. Hibernation also seems fine, but booting into Ubuntu again works fine and Ubuntu says "Waking up.
