It just happened after booting with monitors disconnected and then connecting

screen, stopping fan and hd drive, but the backlight is still on. No
working key, even capslock is not affecting caps light to change. Only

The repro code (attached below), when compiled under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on
x86_64, with -O2 flag, produces incorrect code.
As seen in the disassembly, the assignment to hdr.saddr is completely optimized
out, and subsequent accesses to this field reads garbage from the stack.
Setting daemonize to false made aiccu display messages, and it turned
out my login credentials were for some reason wrong, and aiccu never
notified me about it until I used verbose + do not daemonize. Everything
is now back to normal.

I have this problem in 12.04.
I use Logitech Cordless Wave Pro and mouse MX1100
(http://www.logitech.com/pl-pl/support/keyboard-mice-combos/4677).
When I want to set new shortcuts in System Settings - Keyboard - Shortcuts
all the extra keys are undetectable.
My keymaps file is the same like in

How to repeat the problem: assume we can connect to a provider using
sudo pppd call xyz command, i.e. we have a script /etc/ppp/peers/xyz
for connect.
Add updetach option to the script. Next, invoke:
sudo pppd call xyz
The connection hangs up immediately after finish of the above sudo
