When launched from the menu,
/usr/bin/qjackctl is a shell script that tries first to move the
PulseAudio output over to JACK and then tries the pasuspender method. So
it shouldn't be necessary to suspend by default in the menu entry?
Running qjackctl in a shell will show which method it ends up using.

I'm also having same problem (some buttons stay pressed - don't work)
with updated Karmic 64-bit.
I'm having problems with eclipse downloaded directly from
www.eclipse.org
The solution was the trick setting env var GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1 before
laucnhing eclipse bin.

Removing the slideshow package fixed the bug for me. Couldn't try the
webkit upgrade solution, as the version I get with those instructions is
not the one mentioned.

This bugs still is present on Jaunty. The #16 fix using 'kdesudo
systemsettings' didn't resolved my problem since I have no 'GTK
Appearance' on KDE SystemSettings.
Waht really worked is:
$ sudo cp ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde4 /root/.gtkrc-2.0
Please dev team, resolve this unfortunate bug!

This issue still exists and it's really anoying. Can't work with
firefox, thunderbird, nothing that depends on the gnome file browser.

Tried also reinstalling libglib. But same behavior...

due to latest kernel patch (that nasty bug on NULL pointers stuff).
Interesting part:
if open gedit with gksudo it just works witout any core dump!
$ gksudo gedit

Hi Chris! Any news about the bug? I had to uninstall amarok-2.0 to
continue working without these problems. But as I see, the status of the
bug is incomplete. Do you need any other log or help? I still think this
bug has something to do with how gnome-session responds to a lot of
interactions, in
syslog and xsession-errors logs. They are tar.gz'ed
since syslog are almost a mega or two ;)

Well, I think we should be thanking this crappy applications paradigms so
you could find in a short time this nasty bugs/unfortunate behaviors... And I
would not like to read on Slashdot and others, things like Linux's not
reliable, Linux loose data, uninstall Linux, and similar
with mouse hangs / freeze
Dunno :( maybe some nasty xorg bug , or maybe Dell's fault, or the even
worst: both's fault!
For the people still having this issu, I would say to first of all, in
all instances, check if your BIOS is up-to-date in FIRST PLACE...

BTW, Dell sucks a lot. They only provide BIOS installed as an EXE
windows file. So, you will need to install windows to update your BIOS.
