I also experience a black screen now. I noticed this with Firefox.
Open a couple of Firefox windows minimize them ALT-Tab select any
one of them observe black screen.
This happens regardless whether the window is maximized or minimized.
Workaround for now: if small window, maximize it. If
I did a completely fresh install of 12.10, and I can confirm that Unity
Greeter *does not* transition from the login screen to the desktop with
the wallpaper showing. Instead, it displays a black screen instead.
There was a time when this used to work beautifully. Considering that
the Unity
For me, the issue still persists. My Guake and Xmind icons in the
application lense are still huge, while the More Suggestions icons are
also huge.

046d:c52b USB3 port Logitech mouse using unifying
The mousefix workaround posted in #55 works for me. I put the script
into /etc/rc.local and every reboot it works. I might take a few moments
before the Unifying Receiver starts working, but it does work eventually
without having to unplug / plug in the receiver for up to 20 times.

Google Chrome slows down Unity big time
To manage notifications
This issue still persists. Printing processing is painfully slow. I
wouldn't use MS Office if I didn't have to at work, as Libre Office
doesn't even open the docs I am working with. At least I don't have to
resort to Win7...
So, is anybody looking at this at all?

Honestly, I am not sure if this is be design or a regression, but recent
Unity has gradients per category now. These gradients show up in the
right of the Unity screen.
I would expect to have no gradients, because it looks nicer that way.

Jack, this does not work for me at all.
Needless to say, in 10.04 works with the Logitech Unifying Receiver just
find, and, needless to say, so does Windows 7. However, it does not work
for me on 12.04 and 12.10. The issue seems to be with USB3, as it worked
perfectly on my older laptops that

UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux HAS the bug, 3 out of 3 tries.
