Just wanted to show you this little Kazam screen cast that shows the
behavior of the icon theme inside a Nautilus window when pressing F5.
Remember - F5 used to always allow me to decrease the brightness of my
MBP's keyboard backlight. Now, it messes up the icon theme...

I also have lost the brightness and audio controls, but they came back
eventually, with F5/F6 still acting weird (see here for what they do now

same. F5/F6 do not work, but for some strange reason only change my
chosen Faenza icon theme to the default one, also affecting the look of
context menus, etc. Very strange

This just happened to me today when working with Libre Office Impress. I
pressed F5 to start a slide-show, and the screen froze for a moment. The

Suspend does not kick in when closing the lid of my MacBookPro 5,2; it
does however work when clicking suspend from the system menu.
I would expect suspend to kick in when the lid is closed, as it is
configured in System Settings Power When the lid is closed
Suspend.
As of yesterday, things seem to have improved. I have been using the
same test right after logging in, and the touchpad continues to work
just fine! This is good news indeed, and I will keep an eye on the
touchpad's behavior.

Well, that didn't last long. After a reboot I adjusted the keyboard
backlight with the respective function key on the MBP and the touchpad

Sorry to change this back to incomplete, but this is not fixed yet and
still persists. Every time I start to type or use the keys within the
Desktop environment after logging in I lose my touchpad functionality.
