I am seeing this brand new bug also. After 20-30 minutes of use a
logout occurs. I have been using ubuntu on THIS laptop (a Dell Inspiron
1525) since 8.04 and have NOT seen this problem before. My wife has
seen it a number of times while playing solitaire with wifi off and
nothing else running.

I am having the same problem but without LVM. I am using two SATA
drives, the first with Windows and the second with Jaunty with a
separate /boot partition and one external USB disk on which Karmic is
installed with no separate /boot partition. In Karmic I have created a
