I am using a Dell Vostro V13, like some others here. I am using Ubuntu
12.04 LTS, with kernel version 3.2.0-25 . This issue was persistent with
this kernel version and previous versions. The workaround in comment 26
seems to have resolved the issue for me (thanks, Pierre).
