For the past couple of week I have had my desktop machine rolled back to
stock 18.04 with these updates, and all seems stable and the fixes do as
advertised.
I have also done some additional verification snapshotting a VM, rolling
that back and forward to test.

confirmation by snapshoting the system so I could roll back to repeat
the same snap installs several times before and after update, to confirm

Seems .cmake are installed in both -dev packages in cosmic, with a
conflicts to prevent both being installed at the same time.
I would guess I was looking at
Testing upgrading breeze with and without proposed enabled in cosmic
repos.

With = success with no conflict as intended, where
