have tried installing Ubuntu 20.04, 19.04 with no success and then I tried

I don't remember if it went into 1.71 or not. But the GUI has
integration with PolicyKit.
You could try running either `pkexec lmt-config-gui` or `lmt-config-gui-pkexec`.
This will only work on Xorg.

I am facing the same issue. Unable to use enter key to select any menu
option. Moreover, enter does not work on top right menu which manages
wifi, sound level, screen brightness etc. Seems like these issues are

That's because what I instructed in #15 makes laptop-mode-tools
ineffective to USB hotplug events. Not something that a user would want.
As I see from the reports, this is what I think is happening.

Okay. Thanks for the reports. It could very well be the flakiness in usb
devices that are causing this problem. Anyways, the best fix for this is to
contain usb execution to the runtime module only.

I have the same hardware and I share the same problem. In fact, the
kernel in use, is shared by both Ubuntu and Debian. I am on the Debian
Jessie kernel.
Like the OP, I tried with 3.19.2, but the problem exists. He was lucky
to have survived 2 weeks. I can't survive more than 48 hrs.

don't like it) and use something else, like LMT, as the sole power

Thanks, but I am not able to reproduce this locally on precise/trusty.
Is it possible for you to start cups under valgrind[1] , and attach the
relevant logs . This would help us track the memory corruption issue (
probably a race condition ) .

This does not interact well with lim. workaround is to use HUD .
This can be fixed by enabling Prefences-Console-Force console
shortcuts .

Hi,
For end-user desktops, we've inserted the printing credentials in the
user's gnome-keyring to make printing authentication automated.
This worked perfectly last year and still works today ... up to the moment
when the /etc/cups/printers.conf is
ppa:jacob/virtualisation.
This does not interact well with lim. workaround is to use HUD .
