Thanks very much, Flames, for sharing your knowledge.
If I later get notified of 12.04.1, I will mark this bug as invalid.

I have my software sources dialog configured to only inform me of long term

Changing the value to 2 still resulted in the error (to be expected really).
Changing the value to 0 stopped the error message appearing.
So my problem itself is fixed.

Well, who is responsible for packaging lmms for ubuntu?
They'd be the person we need to address this to. I doubt they're reading the
ubuntu lauchpad bug tracker - we need to contact them directly...
Or the repository maintainers?

Works for me.
Using software properties (kde) I enabled proposed updates with the checkbox.
I checked I was still unable to uncheck it. (the bug WAS still there)
I found the appropriate proposed update and installed it.
Now I am able to uncheck the box - it seems to have been fixed.

Attempting to install Samba 4 on Ubuntu 11.04 (upgraded from 10.10);
installation fails part-way through. Package had been previously
uninstalled after upgrading Ubuntu from previous dist release.
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04
Package: samba4 4.0.0~alpha15~
Using kubuntu, same problem, switching to jack1 works as a workaround - but
this shouldn't be necessary, and breaks my pulseaudio-jack-sink connection (at
least initally, haven't restarted yet)
Does anyone know if this will be fixed in muse 2.0, soon to be released?
