I installed Ubuntu 10.10 on Acer Extensa 5235 with Celeron Dual-Core
2GHz. After login into Gnome it shows this alert:
CPU frequency scaling unsupported
I tried
sudo modprobe p4_clockmod
FATAL: Error inserting p4_clockmod
After editing /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf - MODULES=most replaced to
MODULES=dep, neither sudo
update-initramfs -u nor synaptic reinstalling initramfs did not help. The
error messages are still present.

I used apache2 with mod_php5 and mod_rewrite in 6.04. After upgrate to
6.10 and then to 7.04 the mod_rewrite doesn't work, although phpinfo()
says it is loadded.

asked me to choose between this choices:
a) keep the old config files
b) rewrite them with new files

dmesg |grep 'eth.*link' has empty output, even after manual
reconnecting.
in /etc/network/interfaces the line auto eth0 dissapeared, as desribed

Actually I edited the /etc/network/interfaces and put the line auto
eth0 back, but it did not help - the network did not start
automatically either.
I don't know why this bug was set to rejected. This IS a real bug. I did
not delete the auto eth0 line manually. There's something that
