No text display (boot messages) and my keyboard doesn't work either
(USB).
Hooking up a usb keyboard and hitting control-d (even though I can't see
anything on the screen) eventually lets Ubuntu boot normally. I can't

I have the same issue. Installed sqsh from the repos & running:
sqsh -S "dbserver\dbinstance" -D database -U username
asks me for a password.
In intrepid, I put it in and it drops me to the CLI & I can query the
DB.
In Hardy it simply drops me back to the shell.
This is a major problem.

bonding of 2 broadcom netextrem2 nics (bnx2) driver.
bonding of 1 intel pro/1 broadcom netextreme (desktop) (tg3) driver. is
broken. it seems that open trying this combination, the intel nic

I will do more testing to see what is happening. The broadcom nic is
the active port and the intel nic sends out lacp info & receives nothing
