I am experiencing the same problem. The dialog appears initially but
when I switch to another window it's gone and there is no way of getting
it back apart from manually minimizing all windows and then seeing the
little copying dialog hover above desktop.
Since there is no: a) show desktop button

getting the following error:

I get the same problem on the latest Hardy Heron. I am using compiz with
the Human Theme customized. if i click two text files from nautilus,
they open in different windows instead of the same window, two tabs.
really annoying.
