Tony: OK that makes sense and is consistant with my experiences. If
logging in then logging out picks up the new DNS, then it makes sense
that reconnecting would also apply the change.
However there was no indication that I should reconnect. I was confused
and thought that the change would apply.
I can confirm that changing that gconf entry will make the buttons have
icons. I never changed that value in gconf.
With that value off (the Ubuntu default it seems) there are other
applications (e.g.: Deluge, a bittorrent client) that show icons in
toolbar, and buttons.

Actually, to clarify, the email was 2MB, so enigmail is useless on 2MB
emails, which is ridiculus.
Also, I found a work around. If you right click on the message and
select 'Get Selected Message', thunderbird will download it for you. You

This was a problem for me on intrepid with a sony viao if I run " xrandr
--output LVDS --set BACKLIGHT_CONTROL native" I am able to control the
screen brightness with Fn-F5/6.

atool -l, the command to list the files in an archive, prints the date
of a file, but it does it in american month-day-year format. It should
pick up the correct date format from the users environment.

I can confirm that this is a problem and downloading the new version
from CVS and rebuilding prevents this problem for me. This is on
intrepid. The version in the apt repositories should be updated.

I can confirm this bug. This is a major problem IMHO because osm2pgsql
(the programme provided by this package) is effectivly broken and
totally non-functionional.

No, I've tried using pumount on the command line, and by opening the
'Computer' window, right clicking on the USB stick and selecting
'Unmount volume'. In both cases the new nautilus window doesn't close
and switches the open folder to my home folder.
